New Listing

Room for rent | Woodside, Queens, NY, USA

Hi, my name is Kelsey! I’m looking for a roommate in my 2-bedroom apartment in Woodside, Queens starting October 1 (though it’s available for move-in earlier). Rent is $ plus utilities, but I haven’t received the new lease yet.The apartment is a garden-level bath on a quiet street, about a 5-minute walk from the Woodside 7 train and LIRR stop. It has a dishwasher, and I have lots of fun kitchen tools if you're into cooking. I’ve also been building a bit of a home gym since Covid, with weights, yoga mats, and a folding bike that you’re very welcome to use.The apartment is furnished, but I’m open to you bringing additional furniture or decor to make it feel like home. There’s also the option to have the bedroom at least partially furnished—I do have a bed available if needed.Small dogs are allowed in the apartment, so if you have a furry friend, that’s totally fine with me! And in fact since my former roommate had the snuggliest dog imaginable that I am missing dearly, it would be a major plus if you did have one! I’m a pretty easygoing and flexible roommate. One nonnegotiable for me though is that I would need someone who is comfortable with me subletting my room during the summer as I am a teacher who uses that time to travel. I also love having friends and family visit, so that’s something I’d need a roommate to be okay with (and of course, I’d be totally fine with you having visitors too—I’m all about having as open a door policy as possible). My former roommate was a good friend who just moved to London for a job, so while I know I won’t be replicating that exactly, it would be lovely to live with someone who’s open to the occasional dinner together, movie night, or living room yoga session. It’s been a while since I’ve looked for a roommate, so if I’m missing anything important, please let me know! And of course, feel free to DM me with any questions or for more info.
