Seeking female grad student or professional, late 's - early 's, to fill 1 bedroom in Astoria house. Current roommate is a working professional female in her ’s. Rent is $/month plus internet (utilities included). Move in date is flexible. ID, proof of income, credit report, deposit and first month rent required. Current roommate speaks English and some Mandarin Chinese. No pets please! There is a small room located in front of the house used as a shared office.The House:Located off Ditmars Blvd, the home is spacious and well-maintained with a full kitchen, living room, dining room, shared office, and shared bathroom. The house has lots of natural sunlight and abundant storage space. Surrounded by bars, restaurants, and only blocks from Astoria Park with gyms located nearby. No pets, tobacco smoking, and extended stay guests. This is a friendly house.Your Room:Located in the back of the house away from street noise with two closets! The first private closet is in the bedroom and the second closet is located in the hallway (I put a few miscellaneous items in the second clsoet it but it will be mostly yours). The bedroom comfortably fits a twin or full-size bed, dresser, nightstand, standing mirror and/or bookshelf. Room will be unfurnished. There’s also a shared toiletry/linen closet and a community closet in the hallway to store luggage, winter coats, and household supplies.The Ideal Roommate:Preferably someone in their late ’s – early ’s who keeps things tidy around the house, mature, respectful, and considerate of others. A relatively quiet person who doesn't bring over lots of friends and overnight guests. Understands the necessity of communal expenses and willing to evenly contribute towards purchasing toilet paper, trash bags, etc. The perfect roomie is someone who isn't just a faceless stranger or bedroom hermit but someone who enjoys getting to know the people they live with. A little bit of personality goes a long way.
