Hi, my roommate Billy & I have a nice, medium-sized room available for rent in our 3BR duplex in Prospect Heights. The lease starts September 1st & is for 1 yr w/the option to renew. As a kicker, the apartment is rent-stabilized. The room is quiet, has floor-to-ceiling windows, gets plenty of sun (south facing), fits a queen bed, desk, bookcase, & wardrobe. I live downstairs in the basement & Billy lives upstairs in a room across from yours. The apartment has 2 floors w/a sunny private balcony on your floor & windows looking out into a small courtyard. We're on the ground floor in the back of the building, so it's tranquil, private, & safe. We have an in-unit washer & dryer. I’m in my mid/late ’s & Billy is in his mid/late ’s. Our current roommate is moving out to live with his significant other so we’re looking for the right person asap. I’m friendly but also tend to work and keep to myself a lot at this stage in life. We’re looking for friendly and honest people who are generally relaxed, good communicators, treat the place well, use common sense, & aren’t in the party stage of life (although friendly!)  Essentially, we try to keep it loose/live & let live within reason. Working from home is easy given the space. One thing to note is the downstairs bedroom does not have a wall/door, just stairs, so please be mindful the downstairs is a bedroom only. The apartment is off of Washington, which is full of restaurants, bars, & coffee shops. There are 4 grocery stores within a -minute walk, and we are a -minute walk from Prospect Park, the Brooklyn Museum, & Brooklyn Botanical Garden. The Clinton Washington A/C stop is a -min walk away, & the B, Q, , and 5 are within a -minute walk. There is a Citibike station on the corner. Payments/apps go through our landlord. We are a friendly and easy-going European couple looking for a roommate for our beautiful townhouse in Rancho Mission Viejo/South Ladera Ranch. The townhouse has 3 floors and you will have the first floor entirely to yourself. You will have your own bathroom as well. You will share the 2-nd floor kitchen and the living room with me and my husband. The room for rent is the first room in the pictures. There is no walk-in closet (there is room underneath the staircase to hang your clothes) and there is a garage, but you will need to park around the neighborhood- there is plenty of parking here, so that shouldn’t be a problem. There is a one-time annual parking fee of $ that you will have to pay for. We don’t have cable TV, but if you want to, you can get your own or we will provide Apple TV at our cost. You will have access to the pool, jacuzzi, BBQ, guesthouse as shown in the last pictures. There are also gym classes, yoga in the park, hikes, monthly farmer’s market available and many other fun events provided by RanchLife such as WestFest, Rodeo, Turkey Trot, Christmas Tree Lighting etc. There is also a bar by the pool on the weekends. Rent $ plus utilities (around $ a month), $ deposit, one-year lease starting between September 1st and Sept th. No pets, no smoking including marijuana, no drugs. If you like the room, you will need to provide proof of income (pay stubs, W2s or bank statements), at least 3 references, driver’s license and a social security number to run a background check and credit.
