Searching for two rooms

Hi everyone, my friend Sahar and I are looking for 2 bedrooms in a shared flat from August 1 onwards.

We both moved to New York last year for our PhD in Philosophy at NYU and currently live in the East Village. We would love to find a shared flat somewhere in Manhattan or Brooklyn close to Prospect Park, in Williamsburg or Greenwood.

We like being out and meeting new people, which is why we hope to find other people to either join us in the process of finding a place or for us to join them if they already have a place. Even though we’d prefer to be friends with our roommates, we think it’s equally important that everyone can also do their own thing and that we each respect each other’s privacy.

On a day-to-day basis, we'll often be glued to our desk at the library and sometimes at home. When we have spare time, however, we like to go to museums, the movies or out for drinks and the occasional party. Sahar also likes to cook delicious Persian food, is into movies and poetry, and Lara likes to eat delicious vegan food (including food that Sahar cooks) and is into running and electronic music. We hope that we can share some of these hobbies and other nice moments with our future roommates :)
