Looking for Livable Space

Greetings,

My name's Adam. I'm a professional technical writer and responsible tenant looking for reasonable and appropriate accommodations. I have been the rate displayed for one room over the past 2 years and what I get for it is a leaky roof, mold, random people coming to my door or sitting on the side of the house, and an out-of-state landlord who only cares if the rent is paid.

In my futile attempts to move someone else into the 2-bedroom house on the hollow promise my rent would be reduced, I have come to realize that I am too much for renting out one room of an entire house. I have the space to myself and manage it well, but I feel like I deserve more respect and consideration as a tenant.

I am looking for a private landlord who has a house or townhome in a decent area of East Point or College Park. I am a remote worker so I'd most likely need a room with a desk and rolling chair for working space (the bigger the better; I'd like to stay in one place for some time). I'm really into nature and would love to live somewhere with close access to a park or paths.

Disclaimer: I'm friendly and I do occasionally drink alcohol. I will also have company over on occasion (my mother, siblings, close friends, girlfriend, etc.). I am renting the whole place after all, but I'm of course willing to compromise on logical house rules that I'd suggest anyways, e.g. not smoking inside the house and only on the porch. I am not a tobacco user, I despise cigarettes.

Something I've come to realize I'd love is a landlord who not only maintains mutual respect between us but understands that I am navigating this life the same as them. I am always willing to learn and grow in order to better myself and those around me. If you're someone who genuinely wants to help people and isn't just looking to make money off of someone's basic need for housing, then please reach out. An entire place isn't needed in this condition, just basic boundaries and good vibes.
