Teacher Seeking Long-Term Rental

Hi, I’m Danie,
I am seeking a private room with like-minded, easy-going, yet responsible housemates, long-term. No smoking or drugs (not friendly indoors). I am a teacher. Stable income, credit score, responsible. I am a quiet, clean, courteous, mature professional and world-traveler. I am seeking roommates to save money, as I wish to eventually move to Europe.

As an educator, I have integrity and am considerate; I care about making a positive impact in our world. I love literature, hikes in nature, and academic pursuits (art/museums). As far as my living style, I am a bit of a bookworm and tend to stick to myself, although I am friendly and have interesting stories from my travels/life as an academic. I enjoy dinner out with friends (I don't tend to have them over in my living space), the cinema, plays, poetry readings. I would primarily be in my room, doing fairly light cooking, and a daily shower. At the same time, I would like to feel like this is my home and that I am not just living in someone else’s space. I do enjoy occasionally making Sunday omelets for housemates, and I cook a mean lasagna!

I have a special circumstance that I am hoping you would consider; I have a bedroom-dwelling, indoor ESA Certified cat (documented, so not considered a “pet”), but you wouldn’t see her in common spaces or outside. She actually wouldn’t leave my room. She is older, trained, super clean, and doesn’t scratch, or eliminate outside of her box (pine litter cleaned twice daily—no smell or clay particles in my room). I would need a decent-sized room for us. With that, aside from feeding my mind and spirit, students are my life, and I love it. I have been teaching for years now.
