Room Needed ASAP For A Couple!

Hello, and I’m hoping someone might be able to help. My husband and I are in a very sticky situation.

My husband and I were displaced several months ago, due to toxic black mold in our apartment from a slumlord. We lost most of our belongings and all of our furniture. We were fortunate enough to be able these past few months to stay with a family friend. We have been ever so grateful for her hospitality; however she has a sick family that needs to move in, which leaves us without a dwelling, and we need to be out by Friday, . My husband just started a new job, and I do not work due to a physical disability. We have exhausted all our resources, and we don’t have any family or other friends that live in the area that has room available. We’ve tried local churches synagogues, DHS, etc., as well as other avenues for help, but we fall in the cracks and don’t qualify. I’m waiting for my disability (SSDI) to come through, but it might be a few more months before that happens.

Anyway… if someone happens to have a spare room that they’d be willing to let us stay in for a few months until we can get back on our feet, we would be ever so appreciative. We are in our late forties, very clean and neat, and good upstanding citizens of the community. I grew up in the northern suburbs, and my husband in Chicago. We are looking at all locations from Schaumburg, all the way up to Winthrop Harbor. Luckily, my husband is a fantastic cook, and we would pay for our own groceries of course. If there is anyone out there that would be willing to help out a decent couple, who has fallen on hard times, we would be immensely grateful for any and all assistance. Thank you in advance!
