Fully Furnished Historical Home
Thank you for selecting our property to be a home away from your home. We are honored to have you as guest. We would like to share a little history as to this home and the person who owned this home. The first Habitat for Humanity home in the Cedar Valley was a milestone—not just in bricks and mortar, but as a beacon of community strength and activism, all thanks to Mary S. Theroith. As a dedicated community and civil rights activist and the director of the Martin Luther King Center at Hawkeye Community College, Mary embodied what it means to “pay it forward.” She used her home and her life as a foundation for good, demonstrating that when someone does something meaningful for you, you pass that goodness along to others. Today, her former home will continue to serve the community in her honor. It’s a fitting tribute that ensures her legacy of compassion, activism, and selflessness lives on, fostering positive change just as she did. The home is fully furnished with washer and dryer, all kitchen appliances, sofas, bedroom furniture, ADT security monitoring system and fenced in yard.
